Premier League fixtures are coming thick and fast as we approach the festive period with another packed weekend kicking off on Friday night.
Brentford and Watford got the action underway with the Bees coming from behind to seal a huge win through an injury time penalty from Bryan Mbeumo.
A thrilling Saturday afternoon of action includes Steven Gerrard’s return to Anfield for the first time as Liverpool host Aston Villa.
Chelsea host Leeds in what could be a lively encounter with Manchester United hoping to make it two league wins from two under Ralf Rangnick when they take on Norwich City.
As ever Betfair Ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for Metro.co.uk…
Man City v Wolves
Although Wolves are doing well, I think City will have way too much for them in this one. That being said, Wolves have had some good results against City over the years. There shouldn’t be a surprise in this one. Prediction 3-0.
Betfair Exchange odds: Man City 2/11, Draw 15/2, Wolves 21/1
Chelsea v Leeds
Last time out in the league Chelsea lost against West Ham, which was a great match to watch, so they will be desperate to bounce back with a win.
They cannot afford to slip up any more and I believe they will be very motivated to win this game. Prediction 2-0.
Betfair Exchange odds: Chelsea 3/10, Draw 5/1, Leeds 12/1
Liverpool v Aston Villa
This will be an emotional one for Steven Gerrard. I’m sure he would love to be Liverpool manager one day, and I’m pretty sure he will be one day.
Liverpool have Klopp for now and they are looking very strong. Aston Villa have had a good start with Gerrard, but I think this will be a bit too difficult for them. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange odds: Liverpool 1/4, Draw 6/1, Aston Villa 13/1
Arsenal v Southampton
Arsenal suffered a last minute defeat against Everton, and I’m sure that will have felt like a big blow to the players. They will want to get back on track and this should be a game for them to do that. Prediction 1-0.
Betfair Exchange odds: Arsenal 5/7, Draw 3/1, Southampton 5/1
Norwich v Man United
Norwich are struggling still and they are battling to survive. They are last in the table and if Man United want to do big things they need to get on a good run.
They have some favourable games coming up, starting with this one and if they stay fully focused I’m expecting them to get the job done. Prediction 0-2.
Betfair Exchange odds: Norwich 7/1, Draw 4/1, Man United 1/2
Burnley v West Ham
Burnley are in trouble and they need to get some wins from somewhere. West Ham are absolutely flying and they had a great results against Chelsea last weekend.
Surprises do happen in the Premier League and with West Ham playing on Thursday night, I could see one happening here. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange odds: Burnley 11/4, Draw 14/5, West Ham 11/10
Leicester v Newcastle
Newcastle finally got their win, that will feel great. They have some really tough games coming up so they have to make the most of this game against Leicester who are struggling.
I think Rodgers’ side will make it tough for Newcastle. Prediction 1-1.
Betfair Exchange odds: Leicester 4/5, Draw 3/1, Newcastle 4/1
Crystal Palace v Everton
Everton got a great result last time, it was a great comeback against Arsenal, they really need to follow that up with a positive result.
But Crystal Palace have been performing well and they too will be wanting to get back on track with a win. I can see Vieira’s side nicking it. Prediction 2-1.
Betfair Exchange odds: Crystal Palace 11/8, Draw 9/4, Everton 13/5
Dimitar Berbatov’s top picks of Man City, Arsenal and Man United all to win is a combined odds of 9/5 on the Betfair Sportsbook where there are no cash out suspensions on football match odds here: https://www.betfair.com/sport/football
