Madonna has hit back at 50 Cent after he made fun of her racy Instagram photos, calling his apology ‘bulls**t’.
The singer, 63, last month uploaded a series of risque images to Instagram of herself posing on a bed dressed in lingerie and fishnet tights, while also flashing a nipple in a couple of the snaps.
While the pictures raised some eyebrows, with Piers Morgan reacting just about how you would expect, and Kate Beckinsale using the shots to prank her daughter, 50 Cent’s response had Madonna raising her hackles.
The rapper posted an array of memes and jokes about her photoshoot to his Instagram page, but after she called him out for ‘pretending to be her friend’ and then making fun of her, he apologised.
Well, sort of – what he said was he ‘must have hurt Madonna feelings’ as she had ‘dug up’ a photo of them from 2003 to prove they were friends.
He went on to say he hoped she accepted his apology, but has since deleted the tweet.
Now Madonna, in a new Instagram post featuring herself under a bizarre cartoon filter, has called his apology ‘bulls**t’ – but says she forgives him.
‘You were trying to shame me, you were trying to humiliate me,’ she says in the video.
‘Your apology is fake, it’s bulls**t and it’s not valid.’
Madonna listed all the reasons why she thought his apology wasn’t real, including finding more old footage of the pair together where he called her his friend.
She went on to say that, rather than apologising for hurting her feelings, what 50 should apologise for is ‘your misogynistic, sexist, ageist behaviour and remarks’.
Her feelings were not hurt, Madonna says, because she did not ‘take it personally’.
The Material Girl singer also blasted 50’s claims that he had ‘not benefited’ from making fun of her, saying that, as a celebrity, part of the reason he posts anything on social media is to benefit from it.
‘That is what social media is all about,’ she said, adding: ‘You do understand that, right?
‘We post things about ourselves and we use Instagram and other forms of social media because we want attention.’
The popstar finished her rant by slamming 50 for sharing memes which ‘shame and humiliate other people,’ adding ‘that’s f**ked up’.
‘You’re trying to put a limit on when women should be able to feel good about themselves,’ she accused the rapper.
However she added: ‘I forgive you and I hope that one day you wake up and see a different point of view.’
She finished: ‘I wish you all the best.’
The Papa Don’t Preach hitmaker captioned her post: ‘Delayed Clap back for 50 cent And his fake apology… Ive been busy, better late then never!!!
‘Had. some things I needed to say (sic)’.
Instagram had initially removed Madonna’s saucy photoshoot, but the singer re-uploaded the photos – with some of nudity censored out – shortly afterwards.
