Madonna made the most of her Christmas celebrations, donning a crown for the big day – as she should.
The Hung Up singer, 63, has been dubbed the Queen of pop throughout her legendary career and proved that it is a title she takes very seriously.
Taking to Instagram, she gave us a glimpse into her festivities with her family, complete with a huge blue tree and a mountain of presents.
She shared a video from their gathering on social media, set to Elvis Presley’s Blue Christmas, showing the moment she opened gifts with daughters Mercy, Estere and Stella.
True to form, the music icon spent much of the time with an intricate silver and red crown perched on her head.
She finished the look off with a red and white striped baseball jersey, and red fingerless gloves.
In snaps posted on her Instagram story, Madge’s daughters didn’t quite follow her lead, instead donning black-and-white dresses for dinner.
At one point, she let them pose with her crown for a brief photoshoot underneath a Picasso painting, proving that she’s a generous queen.
Madonna had a bizarre run up to the festive period as she went viral for a very racy Instagram photo, which is no longer visible on her page.
The Like A Virgin star raised eyebrows all over the place with a series of risqué images, including one of just her legs and bum in fishnet tights with the rest of her body under a bed.
Piers Morgan and Kate Beckinsale were among the stars who voiced their opinions about the photoshoot but it was 50 Cent’s response that had Madonna upset.
The In Da Club rapper posted a string of memes and jokes on his own Instagram page, but later apologised after she called him out for ‘pretending to be her friend and making fun of her’.
She later shared a video with a cartoon filter, branding his apology ‘bulls**t’.
‘You were trying to shame me, you were trying to humiliate me,’ she said. ‘Your apology is fake, it’s bulls**t and it’s not valid.
‘You’re trying to put a limit on when women should be able to feel good about themselves.
Madonna ended the clip by forgiving the musician, adding: ‘I forgive you and I hope that one day you wake up and see a different point of view.
‘I wish you all the best.’
