Moment plane door opens mid-flight in front of terrified passengers

Terrifying footage reveals the second determined passengers clasped onto a aircraft door that had flung open.

The quick clip is sufficient to make even probably the most assured of frequent flyers really feel nauseous.

The footage, from Brazil, reveals two males holding the door as their fellow passengers nervously look out the window.

The lads clung on for 20 minutes till the aircraft landed safely.

Panic quickly set in when the left door instantly flew open and wind blew into the aircraft.

The door’s handrail then swung into the propeller of the aircraft’s left engine.

Two males have been in a position to seize maintain off the door and hold it shut as others watched on.

In the meantime, the aircraft’s pilot deactivated the engine as a precaution. He then managed to information the aircraft to a protected touchdown.

No accidents have been reported on board.

One passenger, who didn't want to be named, informed Gessta: ’I believe they have been holding the door for 20 minutes.

‘The corporate didn’t clarify what occurred, if it was one thing severe, if the aircraft might have crashed, if it was a suitable failure.’

A spokesperson for Rio Branco Aerotaxi later informed journalists the incident had been referred to the nation’s Centre for Investigation and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents.

They added that the plane had since been repaired and was now able to fly once more.
