Family pay tribute to ‘beautiful’ boy, 17, stabbed to death

A 17-year-old boy fatally stabbed in Manchester has been named.

Kyle Hackland was rushed to hospital following an incident in Southlea Street, Withington, shortly after 11.30am on Tuesday.

He died a short time later.

Kyle’s devastated mother and father have now paid tribute to their ‘lovely’ and ‘caring’ son.

In a press release launched via police, his household stated: ‘We're devasted by the demise of our beloved Kyle.

‘He was such a form and well-mannered younger boy who all the time appeared out for his household – by no means failing to say, “love you” as he walked out the door.

‘There are not any phrases that may even start to explain the ache we really feel. We've all the time been such a detailed household, and this has shattered us all.

‘He'll eternally be missed as a ravishing son in addition to a caring and useful large brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and buddy. Life won't ever be the identical with out him, we're utterly damaged.’

Police have stated they don't consider the assault was random and their inquiries counsel there is no such thing as a risk to the broader public.

Larger Manchester Police (GMP) put in place Part 60 restrictions till 5pm on Wednesday to offer them with the ability to cease and search anybody within the space of the deadly assault.

A spokesman from the power stated: ‘Kyle Hackland, aged 17, sadly handed away in hospital because of his accidents after he was fatally stabbed on Southlea Street in Withington at round 11.30am on Tuesday November 22 2022.’
