A girl was detained by police and fined for dodging a practice fare, regardless that she paid for a ticket.

Even after being released, Stephanie said she suffered a panic attack in the street and had to be helped by a passing police officer. Stephanie, of Malvern Link, Worcs., says she is now fearful about travelling on a train in future following her 'distressing' ordeal.

‘After loading up my banking app to show I had bought a ticket, I instructed them I wasn’t going to simply accept the fare,’ she stated.
