Staff and robots at Amazon are working around the clock to prepare for a rush of Black Friday orders this week.

Around 2,500 robots are working alongside staff at the Kegworth fulfilment centre in Leicestershire to pick hundreds of thousands of products for customers.

The 450,000 square foot building, which is the size of five football pitches, is made up of three huge floors – two of which are robotics floors.

There are also around 1,000 full-time members of staff, as well as an additional 600 seasonal members, all working to keep the Amazon operation running at its busiest time of year.

The site is one of eight in the UK that has Amazon Robotics technology to speed up the picking process.
