
Former One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray has got fans all excited as he reveals the chances of a reboot are highly likely.
A lot of old-time classics like Sex and The City and Saved By The Bell were given the green light for a modern reboot and according to the 40-year-old actor, One Tree Hill could potentially be next.
The star played Lucas Scott for nearly a decade on the hit drama which followed the lives of half-brothers Nathan Scott and Lucas who compete for positions on their school’s basketball team.
Speaking about reviving the teen series to E!News, he said: ‘We get asked all the time. I know I do. And I know Hilarie [Burton] does, and I see everybody at least once or twice a year.
‘I got to imagine at some point, there would be some version of it.’
The A Cinderella story actor revealed he’s even started to think about possible storylines that would be relevant to today’s society.


‘There’s just so many things now that are so very different than it was back in the early aughts,’ he added.
‘So, you can do issues that are relating to children and kids that [they] are dealing in high school today.’
One Tree Hill ran for nine seasons from 2003 to 2012 and remains beloved by its legions of fans to this day.
Murray starred on the show for the first six seasons, left for the next two, but eventually returned as a ‘special guest’ in the ninth series.
The main cast has kept in contact over the years and regularly support each other at charity events.
In 2017, creator Mark Schwahn was accused of sexual misconduct in an open letter signed by 25 cast and crew members of his new show The Royals.
Mark Schwahn was fired from The Royals after the allegations emerged.
