Anyone taking a stroll in Hyde Park on Sunday might have spotted some fancy and festive sausage dogs strutting their stuff.

For the last five years, a Christmas Hyde Park Sausage Walk has taken place, seeing dachshunds sport reindeer ears, roasted turkey legs, elf hats and other excellent costumes.

Owners and their sausage dogs came together to celebrate the season by donning fancy dress – bringing a smile to the faces of passers by.

One canine, named Biggie Smalls, showed off a turkey costume, while Bruno channelled his inner Frosty with a snowman suit and red and green scarf.

Others went for a classic Christmas jumper – because you can never go wrong with this choice.
