Selling Sunset star Maya Vander has shared the heartbreaking news of her stillbirth after previously confirming she was expecting her third child.
The reality show favourite, 38, has openly shared details about her pregnancies during the four seasons of the programme so far.
She confirmed she was expecting her third child during season four, and has posted updates throughout her pregnancy on social media.
But on Friday she shared the devastating news with fans that she had suffered a stillbirth, which is when a baby is born dead after 24 completed weeks of pregnancy.
Posting a photo on Instagram of a memory box, she shared the name she and her husband had decided for their baby.
She wrote: ‘Yesterday was the hardest day of my life. I had a still birth at 38 weeks.
‘I always heard of it but never imagined I’ll be part of the statistics. Instead of delivering a baby, I get to go home with a memory box… I do not wish this on anyone.
‘What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare that I never imagine will happen to me.
‘Given I share my pregnancies in the show I knew I’ll have to post about this and avoid the “when is your due date“ question.
She added: ‘You will always be in our heart Mason Miller.’
Maya already shares children Aiden, two, and a daughter, Elle, one, with her husband, after fans got to see her journey through her previous pregnancies on the show too.
The star was open about how she had struggled to become a mother and went through two miscarriages, before falling pregnant with Aiden during season one of the show.
She gave birth to her baby son in April 2019 and welcomed daughter Elle in May 2020.
