A lady below 16 was sexually assaulted in broad daylight close to a college in Leeds.
Police are growing patrols after the horrific incident at round 3.30pm on Wednesday.
The sufferer was attacked on a wooded path between Farnley Academy and Maple Croft, New Farnley.
She reported being approached by a middle-aged man and subjected to a severe sexual assault.
West Yorkshire Police stated she managed to interrupt free and ran off and is now being supported by specifically skilled officers.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his forties and tall with quick brown hair.
Forensic examinations and specialist searches are underway.
Non permanent Detective Superintendent Tony Nicholson, of West Yorkshire Police Murder and Main Enquiry Group, stated: ‘We're treating this incident very severely and have specialist safeguarding officers supporting the sufferer whereas we proceed to determine the total circumstances.
‘We're finishing up in depth enquiries and want to hear from anybody who witnessed any a part of the incident or who has any data that would help the investigation, notably in the event that they noticed anybody becoming the outline of the suspect within the space across the time of the offence.
