Michelle and Barack Obama well and truly saw in 2022 in style and, to be fair, we’d expect nothing less.
The former First Lady, 57, took to Instagram to share a quirky snap with her ‘boo,’ as she wished her 47.9million followers a happy New Year.
Wearing matching 2022 glasses, the couple wrapped an arm around one another while Michelle placed her other on her hip and pouted playfully.
The former President, 60, matched with his wife in an all black ensemble as he lovingly clutched her hand.
In her caption, Michelle wrote: ‘Happy New Year from me and my boo! 🎉 Wishing you all a year filled with happiness, love, and good health.’
Naturally, the comments section was ablaze, with followers referring to the married duo as their ‘mom and dad’ and commenting endless fire emojis.
‘You and your boo still killing it,’ wrote one follower.
‘I can’t. I just love them so much,’ added another.
‘Obama looking stylish AF,’ a fan praised, referring to the dad-of-two’s smart trouser and sneaker combo.
The Becoming author’s glimpse inside the Obamas’ NYE celebrations came shortly after her tribute to Hollywood icon, Betty White.
Sharing a snap of the Golden Girls icon – who died aged 99 – with her dog Bo, Michelle praised the actress for how she ‘broke barriers, defied expectations, served her country, and pushed us all to laugh.’
‘There was no one quite like her, and Barack and I join so many who will miss the joy she brought to the world. I know our Bo is looking forward to seeing her up in heaven,’ she added.
One week ago, Michelle and her politician husband enjoyed their annual sunny holiday stay in Hawaii for Christmas.
Barack was photographed swimming in the Pacific Ocean, while daughters – 23-year-old Malia and 20-year-old Sasha – chilled on paddle boards.
The traditional family trip – which has taken place for decades where Barack grew up – occured during Sasha’s winter break from university.
Meanwhile, baby sis Malia recently graduated from Harvard University.
