A seven-year-old girl was only reported missing last week, despite vanishing two years ago.

Harmony Montgomery was last seen in New Hampshire in October 2019.

Police were called to a property in the City of Manchester when she was five years old.

It’s unclear why a missing person’s report was only filed in the final week of December 2020.

It’s ‘extremely concerning to have a two-year delay’, Police Chief Allen Aldenberg said in a press conference on New Year’s Eve.

He added: ‘That’s not something that happens to us on a regular basis. It doesn’t happen every day.’

‘Many’ family members have been spoken to as an investigation is launched. It’s unclear if Harmony’s parents are included in this.

Police Chief Aldenberg said ‘all available resources’ and personnel have been dedicated to finding the little girl.

Harmony is described as having been four feet tall, weighing around 50 pounds.

She has blond hair, blue eyes and wears glasses. The child is blind in her right eye, WBZ News Radio reports.

Cops are not looking for anyone but Harmony. No Amber Alert, which happens when a child’s abduction is confirmed, has been issued.

This is because there is no specific information or threat linked to her disappearance.

However, it remains a ‘very active investigation’.

Officers have ‘begged’ anyone with information to come forward.

‘I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it’s irrelevant, call us’, Police Chief Aldenberg said.
