Couple deny killing two-year-old neighbour in huge gas explosion

Sharon Greenham, 51, and Darren Greenham, 44, entered not responsible pleas to a cost of manslaughter over the demise of George Hinds at Preston Crown Court docket on Friday.

Emergency providers rushed to the scene of the blast in Heysham, Lancashire, within the early hours of Could 16 final 12 months.

The Greenhams additionally denied damaging a gasoline meter between January and Could 2021 and theft of gasoline between March and Could 2021.

Their trial was listed for October 4, with a time estimate of as much as 4 weeks. A pre-trial overview will happen on August 12.

A 3rd defendant, Paul Marsh, 54, from Heysham, later appeared in courtroom and pleaded not responsible to damaging a gasoline meter and theft of gasoline. Marsh may also face trial on October 4.

Members of George’s household watched proceedings from the entrance row of the general public gallery.

In a tribute issued after the teen’s demise, his mother and father Vicky and Stephen stated: ‘We're devastated on the lack of our stunning George.

‘He was so valuable to us. Now we have no phrases to explain how we really feel and simply need time to ourselves to return to phrases with what has occurred.

‘Our stunning little angel grew his wings at the moment.’
