A statue of the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, who died in a helicopter crash together with seven others, was positioned on the website on the two-year anniversary of their deaths.
The bronze statue unveiled on Wednesday depicts Kobe along with his arm round Gigi’s shoulder as she holds a basketball. The sculpture reveals the daddy, carrying a Los Angeles Lakers No 24 jersey, and his daughter smiling at one another.
Inscribed on the bottom of the statue together with Kobe and Gianna’s names are these of the seven different victims: John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli, Alyssa Altobelli, Christina Mauser, Sarah Chester, Payton Chester, Ara Zobayan.

Kobe, 41, Gianna, 13, and the opposite victims have been in a helicopter over Calabasas, California, on January 26, 2020, when it crashed into the mountainside. They have been flying to a ladies basketball match at Kobe’s Mamba Sports activities Academy. Kobe, who retired from the NBA in 2016, coached Gianna’s group they usually had a sport scheduled that afternoon. Gigi and three of her teammates have been among the many 9 killed.
