Man charged with deception after ‘trying to claim dead uncle’s pension with corpse’

A person has appeared in courtroom charged with deception after allegedly attempting to withdraw his lifeless uncle’s pension from a publish workplace.

Declan Haughney, 40, of County Carlow, Eire appeared earlier than Kilkenny District Courtroom this morning charged with two counts of deception.

Haughney is accused of twice trying to withdraw the pension of his uncle Peadar Doyle, 66, at Hosey’s Publish Workplace on Friday, January 21.

Haughney is alleged to have entered the publish workplace at 11:04am and ‘dishonestly induced by deception’ a member of employees, by producing a social welfare card in an try and withdraw the €246 pension’ of Mr Doyle.
