Mum creates floating bed by herself in five hours and it cost just £160

A DIY savvy mum constructed an unbelievable floating mattress by herself in simply 5 hours – and it solely value £160. 

Jade Toyne, 35, from Lincolnshire was researching floating beds on-line for her daughter, Mia, 12, however discovered there was little or no selection on supply. 

The mum, who lives together with her daughter and husband Michael, 38, determined to take the venture on herself after having picked up some DIY expertise by watching YouTube movies. 

Prior to now, Jade has tiled her personal kitchen and loo, made a kitchen desk and created a cabinet out of scaffolding boards to cover her ugly fuel meter. 

And now, her newest creation has left social media customers wanting extra, with an unbelievable 14,000 likes on her floating mattress submit. 

‘My daughter requested for a floating mattress and I did a fast Google search however not a lot got here up,’ Jade says.

‘She went to her nan’s on a Sunday and I did it as a shock. It solely took 5 hours.’

For the mattress, Jade used leftover wooden from a earlier loft conversion and acquired some timber, screws, wooden glue and LED lights.
