
A policeman is in hospital after being slashed with a machete in east London, the Metropolitan Police say.
The Forest Gate incident was described as ‘ongoing’ at 2.30pm, with the officer’s situation not considered life threatening.
He suffered an harm to his arm after the emergency providers have been referred to as to a ‘psychological well being disaster’ shortly earlier than noon.

A Met Police spokesman instructed Metro.co.uk: ‘At roughly 11.50am on Sunday, 10 April police have been referred to as to reviews of a person armed with a machete struggling a psychological well being disaster at an handle in Skelton Highway, E7.
‘Officers attended – one officer obtained a slash harm to his arm and has been taken to hospital for remedy. His situation will not be life threatening.

One social media person had instructed earlier that the incident concerned a person with an axe.
