Putin ‘facing mutiny after 60 elite paratroopers refuse to fight in Ukraine’

No less than 60 Russian paratroopers have reportedly staged a mutiny and refused to combat in Ukraine.

The ‘elite unit’ was from a key airbase in Pskov, northern Russia.

Once they refused to combat the troops are understood to have been withdrawn to Belarus, from the place they have been then despatched again to Pskov in shame.

Pskovskaya Guberniya reported: ‘About 60 servicemen from Pskov refused to go to struggle on Ukrainian territory, in keeping with our sources.

‘After the primary days of the struggle, they have been first dropped at the Republic of Belarus, after which they returned to their base in Pskov.

‘Most of them are presently being dismissed, however some are threatened with legal circumstances.’

The mutiny is the newest of a number of circumstances of Russian troops refusing to obey Vladimir Putin’s orders to invade Ukraine.

An earlier captive Russian soldier from Pskov, Vladimir Safronov, 23, instructed his Ukrainian interrogators about issues with rations, and the way his officers have been looting civilian properties.

‘Issues are dangerous with meals, we're always saving it,’ he mentioned.

In March, a Russian commander was killed by his personal troops who ran him over with a tank.
