Sacramento massacre victims identified as cops searching for at least two gunmen

Members of the family of the six individuals who have been shot to demise early Sunday morning in downtown Sacramento are mourning the lack of their family members as legislation enforcement officers seek for two suspected assailants.

The taking pictures, which injured a further 12 individuals, happened on a downtown strip filled with bars and nightclubs round 2am on Sunday.

‘Investigators are working to establish these chargeable for this horrific act,’ Sacramento Police Chief Katherine Lester mentioned Sunday afternoon. ‘We all know that a big struggle happened simply previous to the shootings. And we've confirmed that there are a number of shooters.’

Lester mentioned that three males and three girls died within the shootings.

The youngest of the victims, Johntaya Alexander and Yamile Martinez-Andrade, have been each 21-years-old. The oldest sufferer, Melinda Davis, was 57, The Los Angeles Occasions reported.

Additionally recognized by the Sacramento County Coroner have been Joshua Hoye-Lucchesi, 32; Devazia Turner, 29; and Sergio Harris, 38.

Members of the family of a number of the deceased have spoken out about their family members who have been killed within the taking pictures.

California Governor Gavin Newsom known as the taking pictures ‘yet one more horrendous act of gun violence’ and mentioned that his administration is working with native and state legislation enforcement to evaluate the state of affairs.

At the very least one handgun — later found to be stolen — was recovered from the downtown district following the taking pictures.

Hours after the taking pictures, President Joe Biden known as for stricter gun legal guidelines.

‘Ban ghost weapons,’ he mentioned. ‘Require background checks for all gun gross sales. Ban assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. Repeal gun producers’ immunity from legal responsibility.’

‘We equally mourn for these victims and households who don't make nationwide headlines,’ Biden mentioned. ‘However we should do greater than mourn; we should act.’
