Samsung apologises for ‘tone deaf’ ad showing woman running alone at 2am

A Samsung advert that includes a lady working alone at 2am has been described as ‘ludicrous’ and ‘tone deaf’.

The advert reveals a lady working by the streets of London within the early hours by herself whereas sporting a Samsung smartwatch.

Girls’s security group Reclaim These Streets described the marketing campaign as ‘tone deaf’ in mild of the demise of Irish instructor Ashling Murphy, who was killed on a run in January.

The 23-year-old’s demise in Tullamore, Co Offaly, induced shockwaves and sparked vigils throughout Eire and past in her reminiscence, as calls had been made for a change in makes an attempt to sort out gender-based violence.
