Officers from Wayne Couzen’s elite police unit shared sick messages which present a ‘racist and misogynistic tradition within the Met.’

The group allegedly took intention on the likes of Meghan Markle, Labour MP Dianne Abbott and the late George Floyd.

A Metropolitan Police whistleblower has shared the exchanges made in a WhatsApp group.

He says they had been shared between former and serving members of the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Safety command.

One picture despatched to the group celebrated the loss of life of George Floyd, the black man who died in after Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck.

The phrases ‘Pink Floyd’ had been written over an image of his ultimate moments alive.

In one other trade, members focused Black Lives Matter protester Sasha Johnson, who was badly injured in a capturing final 12 months.

An image was shared of the activist with a bullet gap in her head and the phrases ‘Black Lives Splatter’ emblazoned on the image.

A picture of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, coupled with racist language, was additionally shared to the Whatsapp group.

Labour MP Diane Abbott was additionally focused in what she has known as ‘horrible and upsetting’ messages.

A picture of a hippopotamus sculpture was shared with the caption: ‘Guys… who votes we pull down this statue of Diane Abbott?’

And the officers mocked the homicide of Sarah Everard three days after their colleague Couzens’ arrest.

Alongside the grim exchanges, one wrote  ‘Sick b*****d, only some individuals I can ship this to will discover it as humorous as we do.’

The twisted messages have come to mild after they had been shared by whistleblower Dave Eden.

The 62-year-old was a member of the safety command within the nineties and says the WhatsApp group was created in 2018.

He added all members needed to be invited by and vouched for by each present and former officers.

Mr Eden additionally informed the Mirror that outgoing Met Commissioner Cressida Dick had paid ‘lip service to prevention’ and issued ‘meaningless range statements’.

Diane Abbott, MP for Hackney North, stated: ‘These are horrible and upsetting messages and considered one of them is about me.

The senior officer was pressured to give up after clashing with Sadiq Khan over her dealing with of messages shared by a gaggle of officers based mostly at Charing Cross police station.

In a single trade, officers made rape jokes and a number of references to sexual violence saying ‘I'd fortunately rape you’ and ‘if I used to be single I'd fortunately chloroform you’.

In others, homophobic slurs had been exchanged and ableist and derogatory phrases had been used.
