In English-speaking cultures, why are Inexperienced, Brown, White, Black or Gray the one frequent surnames which might be colors? I've by no means met or heard of anybody with a surname reminiscent of Purple, Purple or Blue. Is that this the case in different languages? Stephen Riley, Ann Arbor, Michigan
