A boy has survived a terrifying shark assault by kicking the predator within the head.

Napat Chaiyarak Christenko was swimming within the sea off the coast of Phuket, in Thailand on Sunday, when the assault befell.

The eight-year-old was within the water together with his dad, when he instantly began screaming and thrashing at one thing attacking his leg.

Napat advised police that after making an attempt to kick himself freed from the shark, he reached beneath the waves and hit in on the pinnacle.
