He mentioned: ‘I wish to rebuild Tower Hamlets, I wish to put money into our future, and provides our individuals a greater future than we had within the final seven years.

Mr Rahman gained 40,804 votes whereas Mr Biggs acquired 33,487.

He plans to scrap Low Visitors Neighbourhoods (LTNs) which have confirmed unpopular amongst some Tower Hamlets residents.

The schemes minimise the variety of vehicles on roads in a bid to spice up different modes of transport.

Mr Rahman mentioned: ‘Our roads have been closed, blocked up. It’s contributing to extra CO2 within the borough when the concept was to cut back it.

‘We’re going to take a look at our roads, we’re going to seek the advice of and reopen our roads.’
