Care house residents had their days made with a shock go to from a cute donkey.

The delighted pensioners had been handled to a wholesome dose of animal remedy as they fed and stroked Pedro the donkey.

It was an eventful afternoon at Trowbridge Oaks Bupa Care Residence as Pedro, offered by Kelly’s Donkeys in Beckington, paid a go to.

The inspiration for the exercise got here after workers on the house found a donkey sanctuary simply down the highway.

The residents had been allowed to cuddle and play with the donkey, and Pedro even visited some residents of their rooms.

‘He created an actual buzz when he entered the room and everybody was speaking about it for hours after he left.

‘Some residents reminisced about childhood donkey rides on the seaside and a few stated it reminded them of their previous love for horse driving.’

Janet Cousins, resident at Trowbridge, significantly loved her time with Pedro.

She stated: ‘It was fantastic to have such a particular customer and I want we might have stored him for the entire day.

‘I used to spend so much of time on the native stables after I was youthful, so it made me really feel very nostalgic.’

The house at the moment are planning to produce other visits from Pedro or his buddies sooner or later.

Julie Masklyne, a resident, can be eager for this as she stated: ‘I need Pedro to dwell right here with us! I’d have him right here each week if I might.’
