Horror film fanatics marry at gothic-themed wedding: ‘It was perfect’

A pair with a style for the darker issues in life have wed in a really particular ceremony.

Jodie and Matthew Moore, who dwell in Amersham with their cat Frankie, met on Tinder in 2015 and bonded over their shared curiosity in horror movies.

So for his or her marriage ceremony, they knew they wished to include their love for the style, in addition to for the present Peaky Blinders, into the special occasion.

Jodie, 28, donned a lush black marriage ceremony costume as she walked down the aisle to Fall Out Boy’s ‘Heaven’s Gate’ on October 26, 2021.

She paired the costume with pink heels to match her crimson hair, whereas warehouse operative Matthew, 25, and his groomsmen wearing waistcoats and flat caps in a nod to the hit present.

The decor consisted of pretend skulls, floating candles, pretend butterflies and dried flower petals – largely made by the bride.

Every visitor desk was named after one of many couple’s favorite horror movies – Alien, IT, Hannibal, American Psycho, Hellraiser and Carrie.

The marriage cake was pink and black, with Chucky and the Bride of Chucky collectible figurines nestled on high as a substitute of a standard bride and groom topper.

Jodie, who's now pregnant together with her first youngster, mentioned: ‘We have now each at all times been into extra gothic issues, darker colors, extra uncommon and that fashion displays in our dwelling and the kind of dwelling décor we purchase.

‘We had each at all times loved watching horror movies so it was one thing we positively bonded on. Neither of us is afraid of the slasher and gory movies and loves something darkish and creepy.

‘Peaky Blinders can be a present we now have each beloved, and we thought a nod to it by way of groomsmen outfits can be a great different to the same old formal go well with.

‘We have been each so pleased with the centrepieces we had put along with a nod in the direction of one thing we each love.
