Brad Pitt claims ex-wife Angelina Jolie ‘sought to inflict harm’ by selling vineyard stake to Russian oligarch

Brad Pitt has hit again at ex-wife Angelina Jolie within the ongoing authorized battle over the sale of her stake of their winery. 

The Mr & Mrs Smith co-stars have been embroiled in varied authorized battles since Angelina, 49, filed for divorce from Brad, 56, in 2016. 

They've hashed it out in courtroom over custody of their six kids – Shiloh, Pax, Vivienne, Maddox, Zahara and Knox – and at the moment are going head-to-head over their winery, Chateau Miraval SA, of which they purchased a controlling curiosity in 2008. 

Located within the village of Correns in south-eastern France, the property contains a house and a winery and was bought by the previous couple for round €25million (£20,875,500).

Within the paperwork, obtained by PA, it’s alleged that Angelina bought her stake to a Luxembourg-based spirits producer managed by Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler, with out Brad’s information.

‘Via the purported sale, Jolie sought to inflict hurt on Pitt,’ his authorized group argued. 

‘Jolie knew and meant that Shefler and his associates would attempt to management the enterprise Pitt had constructed and to undermine Pitt’s funding in Miraval.’

Brad’s legal professionals added: ‘In violation of the events’ settlement, Jolie has sought to power Pitt into partnership with a stranger, and worse but, a stranger with toxic associations and intentions.’ 

His authorized group additionally stated the wine enterprise on the property continues to flourish and claimed that ‘although she benefited from Miraval’s success, Jolie had no involvement in these efforts’. 

Angelina is claimed to have knowledgeable her former husband of her determination to promote to Shefler in January 2021, saying she had reached a ‘painful determination, with a heavy coronary heart’. 

Brad’s attorneys have requested a trial by jury.
