Taylor Hawkins’ widow has thanked followers for the ‘outpouring of affection’ she and her household have acquired for the reason that Foo Fighters star died in March. 

Alison Hawkins made her first public assertion for the reason that drummer died on the age of fifty in March 2022 to point out her appreciation for his followers’ kindness. 

She wrote on Instagram in an announcement from the Hawkins household: ‘My deepest thanks and admiration exit to the worldwide Foo Fighters group and Taylor’s followers far and large for the outpouring of affection and every each one among you will have proven our beloved Taylor.

‘Your kindness has been a useful consolation for my household and me throughout this time of unimaginable grief.

‘As Taylor’s spouse, and on behalf of our kids, I wish to share how a lot you meant to him and the way devoted he was to “knocking your socks off” throughout each efficiency. 

‘Taylor was honoured to be part of the Foo Fighters and valued his dream function within the band each minute of his 25 years with them. We take into account each band member and the prolonged Foo Fighters crew our household.’

Alison continued: ‘Taylor’s endearing spirit and deep love of music will stay on perpetually by the collaborations he so loved having with different musicians and the catalog of songs he contributed to and created.

It comes after Foo Fighters confirmed two tribute concert events in honour of the late star, with the band set to play London’s Wembley Stadium on September 3 and the Kia Discussion board in Los Angeles on September 27.
