
A 20-year-old man who stabbed an adolescent in her dwelling 22 instances earlier than her mum fought him off has been convicted of tried homicide.
Simeon Shaba broke into the home in Dartford, Kent, by unhooking a safety latch earlier than getting into the 17-year-old’s bed room carrying a kitchen knife and pouncing on her, Maidstone Crown Courtroom heard.
The sufferer, who can't be named for authorized causes, instructed jurors: ‘He picked up a towel and put it over my mouth. I mentioned: “What are you doing?”

The lady’s mum, whose title should even be withheld to guard her daughter’s identification, suffered accidents as she fought off the attacker and compelled him out of the home.

Prosecutor Daniel Stevenson mentioned: ‘[The victim] was stabbed in her neck, face, shoulder, again, stomach and thigh and she or he suffered 22 separate stab wounds.

Shaba, of Sandling Rise, Eltham, is already serving one other sentence for theft.
