Waterpark evacuated after people suffer ‘eye and throat irritation’ and ‘nausea’

Investigations into the reason for the incident proceed.

Posting on Twitter earlier, Stoke-on-Trent Police wrote: ‘Guests have reported eye and throat irritation and nausea.

‘The constructing has been evacuated.

‘The emergency companies have the incident in hand and urge members of the general public to keep away from the realm.’

Evacuated guests had been reportedly stood of their swimwear outdoors the constructing, with many wrapped in towels to maintain heat.

Rebekah Rowntree was one of many first folks to boost the alarm at present.

She and her household arrived on the waterpark shortly after 11.15am.
