Viewers of Dame Deborah James: The Final Dance had been left in floods of tears on the stunning tribute to her life and legacy. 

The programme, which aired on BBC One on Thursday, two days after Dame Deborah died from bowel most cancers on the age of 40, charted her bravery throughout her five-year battle with the terminal illness. 

Buddies of the podcast host, together with Lorraine Kelly and Gaby Roslin, paid tribute to Dame Deborah’s unbelievable vitality and positivity even when she knew her life was coming to an finish after being moved to hospice care at house.
