Nice Britain’s Heather Watson and Cam Norrie have secured their best-ever runs at Wimbledon with each reserving their locations within the fourth spherical.

Watson beat Kaja Juvan 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 because the 30-year-old, ranked No.109 on this planet, held her nerve to seal her biggest run at a Grand Slam and fell to her knees to kiss the grass after successful the essential match level to spark wild celebrations from the house crowd on Courtroom One.

The British No.4 will subsequent face German world No.97 Jule Niemeier, and can fancy her possibilities after knocking out Slovenia’s world No.62 Juvan in straight units.

Norrie simply dealt with America’s Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-1, 6-0 and units up a final 16 conflict with one other American, Tommy Paul.

The 26-year-old ninth seed might be favorite in opposition to the quantity 30 seed and he feels he's peaking on the best time.

Norrie advised the BBC: ‘It feels actually good, particularly right here at Wimbledon, at house. First time within the second week of a Grand Slam and I couldn’t be happier particularly with all my family and friends watching me. It’s good timing that they’re right here! I loved that match right now and it was a bit much less nerve-racking than the final spherical for my squad.

‘I’m having fun with enjoying at this stage, the method and having fun with bettering with my coach and my workforce. All of us have the identical targets and we’re all pushing one another – it’s been numerous enjoyable and I wish to hold going and hold ticking all containers.

‘I’m as prepared as I will be – I’m coaching as arduous as I can and it’s been a tough grass season and I’ve peaked on the proper time. I’m feeling good and transferring effectively on the courtroom so I’m as prepared as I will be.’
