Kathy Bates ‘can’t believe’ James Caan has died as she honours late Misery co-star

Kathy Bates has paid an emotional tribute to James Caan and admitted she ‘can’t imagine’ he’s gone.

The American Horror Story actress – who appeared alongside the late star in 1990 psychological horror Distress – described the venture as ‘probably the most profound experiences’ of her profession as she mourned his dying this week on the age of 82.

In an announcement to Individuals, she stated: ‘I can’t imagine Jimmy’s gone. Working with him on Distress was probably the most profound experiences of my profession.

‘While you watch his efficiency, his terror, it’s as if he’s watching a snake. Sensible.’

The film follows a well-known writer (Caan) who suffers a nightmare of captivity and abuse by the hands of a fan of his novels (Bates).

She hailed Caan as a ‘type’ and ‘hilarious’ man, and he or she is aware of he’d have ‘one thing insightfully humorous to say’ to assist folks by way of their grief after the information of his dying.
