A prisoner died of an overdose after a girl handed medicine to him orally.

Joshua Brown swallowed half an oz. of meth that was inside a balloon that Rachal Dollard, 33, is accused of hiding in her mouth.

She allegedly handed the drug on the Turney Heart Industrial Advanced, a jail in Tennessee.

He died quickly after at an area hospital.

Brown was serving an 11-year sentence for drug-related costs that was set to finish in 2029.

Dollard was arrested final weekend and has now been charged with second-degree homicide and smuggling contraband into an individual.

David Imhof, director of investigations and conduct, stated: ‘This incident factors to the true risks of introducing contraband into prisons and the implications that comply with.

‘Our company will pursue prosecution towards any particular person who threatens the protection and safety of our workers, the women and men in our custody, and our services.’

Dollard is incarcerated on the Hickman County jail.

In 2017, Melissa Ann Blair visited her inmate boyfriend, Anthony Powell, in Oregon and gave him an extended kiss by which she handed seven small balloons full of meth. Two of the balloons ruptured in Powell’s abdomen shortly after and he died of meth toxicity, based on prosecutors.

A district choose stated that Blair’s actions had been a part of a scheme that Powell and others orchestrated to get medicine into the jail.

‘It was tragic and unhappy however he shares duty for what occurred,’ stated US District Decide Marco Hernandez.
