JK Rowling working with police after receiving death threats in wake of Salman Rushdie stabbing

JK Rowling has revealed she is working with the police after receiving demise threats following writer Salman Rushdie being stabbed in New York. 

The Harry Potter creator, 57, had revealed a person had responded to her tweet concerning the stabbing to inform her ‘don’t fear, you’re subsequent.’

She shared screenshots of his account and posts, asking Twitter Help: ‘any likelihood of some assist?’

Rowling then confirmed: ‘To all sending supportive messages: thanks. Police are concerned (had been already concerned on different threats).’

She had been among the many well-known faces who had spoken out to want Rushdie properly after he was attacked earlier than an occasion.

Rowling tweeted: ‘Horrifying information. Feeling very sick proper now. Let him be okay.’

Rushdie, 75, who had beforehand acquired demise threats after his controversial ebook, The Satanic Verses, was launched in 1988, was stabbed on stage on the Chautauqua Establishment, leaving him on a ventilator. 

Andrew Wylie, his ebook agent, up to date on his situation in a written assertion, revealing: ‘The information is just not good. 

‘Salman will possible lose one eye; the nerves in his arm had been severed; and his liver was stabbed and broken.’

‘Mr Rushdie was airlifted to an area trauma centre and continues to be presently present process surgical procedure.’
