Michelle Department has been arrested for home assault following the announcement that she and husband Patrick Carney are splitting.

In accordance with stories from TMZ, police have been known as to the couple’s house round 2am on Thursday for a home disturbance.

Michelle introduced this week that she and The Black Keys’ drummer have been splitting after three years of marriage. 

She advised TMZ in a press release: ‘To say that I'm completely devastated doesn’t even come near describing how I really feel for myself and for my household.
