A young person has raised greater than £10,000 for rescue canines in Romania by sleeping outdoors in a tent for 542 nights.

Ashley, 13, from Welwyn Backyard Metropolis, Hertfordshire, was impressed to tackle the courageous enterprise by fellow teenager Max Woosey, who raised £700,000 sleeping out in a tent for 2 years.

The teenager has his sights set on elevating £30,000, which he hopes can go in direction of rescue canines in want of assist.

The inspiration behind choosing the charity Paws2Rescue was impressed by his household’s frequent fostering of canines.

They've even rescued one pup from Cyprus.

Ashley additionally instructed the BBC: ‘For the previous seven years we’ve been fostering canines and I’ve grown an enormous compassion for them – I really like canines a lot.

‘Now we have an 18-year-old Jack Russell, a Springer Spaniel referred to as Bertie, and Lucia, a Segugio Italiano that we rescued from Cyprus whereas on vacation.’
