Security worker threatened with gun in ‘terrifying’ £30,000 robbery at Asda

A brazen thief used a pistol to threaten a safety employee earlier than escaping with an enormous bag of money.

The armed theft has been branded ‘outrageous’ by police who're desperately searching down the wrongdoer.

Police have launched photographs of a person they search to talk to following the traumatic ordeal.

The safety employee was focused outdoors Asda on Princess Highway in Manchester yesterday morning.

He was approached by a person with a black pistol who then ran off with an estimated £28,500 in money.

Whereas the safety employee wasn’t injured, he was left shaken by the ordeal.

Specialist firearm officers rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised – however the suspect had already vanished.

He was described as of a medium construct and is white.

He’s understood to have been within the space across the time of the incident and left within the course of Princess Parkway heading away from metropolis centre using a silver-framed mountain bike with black writing on it.

No arrests have but been made.
