
A tribute has been paid to a pub musician who died after a suspected avenue assault.
Invoice Witham was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening situation after emergency providers found him unconscious in Decrease Lane, within the village of Hullbridge.
Essex Police consider the 68-year-old was assaulted outdoors a property in Rochford at about 5.30am on September 12.
Regardless of medical doctors’ greatest efforts, he died in hospital two weeks later.
Mr Witham was a well known musician who performed beneath the stage identify Napper Swan and frequently carried out in pubs throughout the county.
Photos on his social media present him at all times with a smile on his face and a guitar in his palms.
His household mentioned he could be ‘sadly missed’ by all those that knew him, including that the performer would ‘ceaselessly be in our hearts’.
A press release launched by the police mentioned: ‘He was a much-loved character with a giant coronary heart and an excellent larger smile.
‘He will probably be sadly missed by all his family and friends and can ceaselessly be in our hearts.’
A 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily hurt following the incident has now been launched on bail.
Officers mentioned they want to communicate to anybody who could have witnessed what occurred, or any suspicious behaviour within the space on the time.
