A goalkeeper was assaulted by a fan with a nook flag throughout a Turkish soccer match on Sunday.

Play was suspended within the first half of the Turkish first division derby between Goztepe and Altay after supporters have been injured from flares and objects being thrown within the stands.

However because the gamers waited for medical employees to assist injured supporters, a Goztepe fan ran onto the pitch and attacked Altay goalkeeper Ozan Evrim Ozenc with a nook flag he had picked up.

Ozenc was hit twice by the fan, who broke the nook flag into items along with his second blow.

The Goztepe supporter was then jumped on by safety and brought away. In the meantime, Ozenc was taken to hospital for therapy.

Referee Emre Kargin then referred to as for each units of gamers to return to the dressing room.

The sport was then referred to as off round 25 minutes later.
