A royal fanatic has made it his mission to make sure the Royal Household take pleasure in his custom-made rug.

Terry Sillifant, 74, has spent greater than 240 hours crafting the Union Jack-themed reward for King Charles.

The pensioner beforehand despatched a rug to the Queen and was left ‘dissatisfied’ to have by no means heard again.

He hopes to have higher luck with the nation’s new monarch.

Terry, a retired highways engineers, determined to begin crafting the rug following the loss of life of Her Majesty in September.

4 weeks later, he despatched the creation to Buckingham Palace.
