Two women injured after falling off ride at Winter Wonderland

Two girls have been taken to hospital after reportedly coming off a Winter Wonderland trip in Cardiff.

Witnesses stated they heard a ‘large bang’ yesterday night.

Paramedics handled the ladies on the scene earlier than they had been transported to hospital by ambulance.

Laura Rogers, 29 and from Pontypridd, stated: ‘We had been enjoying on the video games reverse and we heard a little bit of commotion. As we regarded over we noticed all the safety operating round all frantic.

‘We seen they rushed to a cabin. They then left with some kind of medical bag.

‘As they rushed previous us we adopted – then I realised there was an accident on the trip.

‘I then seen a girl or woman on the aspect pinned towards it. As I walked on I seen one other woman that regarded unconscious.

‘There have been sneakers on the ground that appeared to be flown off throughout this time..’

An investigation has now been launched by the Well being and Security Government.

A spokesman for Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland stated: ‘We're conscious of an incident that occurred on the Ice Skater trip at Cardiff’s Winter Wonderland on the night of Saturday, November 26.

‘Security is at all times a precedence for us and a full investigation into the incident is now going down. We, because the occasion organisers, are working carefully with the trip proprietor/operator and all related organisations to analyze. The trip will stay closed throughout this time.’

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman stated: ‘We had a name at 5.15pm that two sufferers had reportedly come off a trip at Winter Wonderland.

‘We deployed our cycle response staff who had been within the metropolis centre for the rugby match. A conveying ambulance was requested to take two sufferers to hospital.’
