Highway 407 is empty, so why build Highway 413?

On Sept. 9 and Sept. 11, friends and I drove on Highway 407. It was my first time ever on the 407, and I was shocked at what I saw.

On the Friday, we drove east at approximately 8:30 a.m. There were almost no other vehicles on the road, despite it being rush hour! We had just merged off Highway 401, which was crawling with bumper to bumper traffic.

We took Highway 407 west to Toronto on the Sunday, and the highway again was as empty as it had been on the Friday. The 401 was again packed.

We do not need Highway 413. We need to remove the tolls on Highway 407 and return it to all the citizens of Ontario instead of offering it only to drivers who can afford to pay.
