Two of the NBA’s hottest teams battle it out in Beantown tonight when the Boston Celtics host the New York Knicks.
The pregame narrative: Boston has been clinical at home this season and we’re backing them to win tonight. On top of that, Jayson Tatum’s assist line looks tantalizing as does an alternate under.
Here are our best Knicks vs. Celtics same-game parlay picks for March 5.

Knicks vs. Celtics same-game parlay
Parlay: Celtics ML + Tatum over 5.5 assists + Under 234.5 points (+300)
Celtics ML (-250): The Celtics are coming off a tough loss to the Brooklyn Nets but that doesn’t phase us here.
Boston is 11-7 following a loss this season and is an even more impressive 25-8 on its home court. Joe Mazzulla’s squad also boasts the fourth-best offensive rating (119.3) and net rating (8.7) when at home.
It also seems like the Knicks could be shorthanded tonight.
Jalen Brunson (foot) was announced as questionable for tonight’s contest and that would be a huge loss. New York’s standout point guard has been averaging 28.4 points per game since the new year.
Other parlay legs
Tatum over 5.5 assists (+108): Tatum’s been moving the rock with ease lately and we expect that to continue tonight.
He’s gone over this mark in five of his last six games and is averaging 7.0 assists per game in that span. One of those contests was against the Knicks last week and Tatum put up nine assists — his second-highest total of the season.
That shouldn’t be too surprising, though, considering New York isn’t great at stopping small forwards passing the ball.
The Knicks give up the sixth-most assists to that position per game, according to FantasyPros.
Under 234.5 points (-275): We’re teasing today’s total up by 8.5 points and taking the under to wrap up this same-game parlay.
The last time these teams played a total of 203 points was scored in a defensive slog. We’re expecting a similar type of rock fight to take place today.
Boston boasts the fourth-best defensive rating in basketball (111.2) while New York sits a little farther back at 15th (113.4).
