Run don’t walk. lululemon’s first foray into the running shoe business proved successful with their blissfeel Women’s Running Shoe. Building upon customer feedback, the company launches the blissfeel 2 with an improved fit and feel.

The original blissfeel was named in Runner’s World “Gear of the Year 2022,” thanks to the supportive upper, created to feel like an extension of your foot.  People also raved about the foam cushioning, designed to aid in softening your landing and springing you forward with every hop, skip, leap or bound.

“Our entrance into footwear changed industry standards with an entire category designed for women first. Now, we’re introducing the evolution of our running shoes with road and trail designs that offer superior fit, feel, and performance to take women further,” says Sun Choe, Chief Product Officer at lululemon in a statement.

The new iteration includes a 3D-moulded midfoot panel that aids in stability and maximizes support and ultimately, overall comfort.

Our team got to test an advanced pair and we were impressed. Here’s everything you need to know before you invest in a new pair of kicks.

What we love: The grip and cushion. They’re a neutral shoe, great for beginner or intermediate runners who want to prioritize comfort. The soles are both grippy — giving confidence in each step — and cushiony, which our knees appreciate while running. We loved these both indoors and out on the city streets. The padded tongue and heel collar add to overall comfort and support. The laces are the perfect length and they stayed tied without having to do a fancy Boy Scout knot.

And how could we not love the 30-day trial period? You can try out the shoe and return them if you’re not completely satisfied.

What to note: The blissful 2s don’t claim to be race shoes, but it’s still key to note that these runners are better for training and comfort over performance and speed. Because they prioritize comfort, the soles are softer than many race shoes.
