The Toronto Maple Leafs continue their road trip on Saturday with a date against the Vancouver Canucks.
The pregame narrative: Toronto and Vancouver aren’t scoring much, making the under an intriguing wager. The former is the superior team, and we’ll back the Maple Leafs to win in regulation. Lastly, we’re looking to Mitch Marner for another big performance.

Maple Leafs vs. Canucks picks
Best Bet: Under 6.5 goals (+100)
Vancouver has been one of the best overs teams in the NHL this season, but a recent development has us targeting the under.
The Canucks rank second (62.3%) in overs percentage this year thanks largely to allowing the second-most goals per game (3.93). Starting goaltender Thatcher Demko recently returned from injury, however, and that could lead to fewer overs and more unders moving forward.
Demko turned aside 34 of 36 shots in his most recent outing, a 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Wild. It was just his second appearance since making it back from a groin ailment.
He’s bringing some much-needed stability to a position the Canucks haven’t had any this season.
The Maple Leafs, meanwhile, have the ninth-best save percentage (.918) in the NHL over the last week per Natural Stat Trick. They’ve gone under this number in three of their last four games.
Key stat: Vancouver has gone under this total in three of the team’s last four contests.
Quick picks
Maple Leafs 60-minute moneyline (-134): Toronto’s a -210 favourite on the full-game moneyline, so picking the squad to win in regulation adds a little more risk but subtracts plenty of juice. The Maple Leafs have won three of their last four road contests within three periods of play, outscoring their opponents 15-10.
The Canucks, on the other hand, have lost four of their last five games at Rogers Arena in regulation.
Marner to score 2+ points (+140): We’re a fan of this plus-money way to bet on Marner. Toronto’s leading point-scorer has 11 points in his last five games, totalling three multi-point outings during this stretch.
The Maple Leafs’ offence is revolving around the skilled forward, as he has factored on 11 of their 17 goals (64.7%) during their last five outings.
