The product: Poppy Barley opens first Vancouver store.
Why we love it: Canadian footwear brand Poppy Barley is setting up shop in Vancouver.
Located at 2144 W. 4th Ave. in Kitsilano, the brand’s new 1,200-square-foot retail space in the city will offer a full selection of footwear and accessories finds.
“For the first time, Vancouver is able to shop Poppy Barley’s full collection in-person,” Justine Barber, co-founder of the brand, says. “After 8-plus years of Vancouver pop-up shops and a year-long search for space, we found our permanent home. The W 4th community is perfect for us. It’s where a community gathers to socialize, work and live. It’s a dream location for Poppy Barley. ”

Started in 2012 by Justine and her sister Kendall Barber, the Certified B Corp. brand is based on principles of sustainability and slow fashion, aiming to offer timeless shoe styles that are “fairly priced and designed to be worn on repeat.”
“We strive to meet our customers where they are and provide wardrobe heroes they wear on repeat. We’re obsessed with fit, comfort and sustainability, and Vancouver trusts us to deliver on these promises,” Justine says.
Offering a selection of styles ranging from flats and sandals to heeled boots and men’s dress shoes, the company offers an inclusive range of sizes — five to 12 for women’s and six to 13 for men’s — as well as wide widths.
The price: From $165.
