Do we really need to be bringing up biodiversity in this light? Urban sprawl and habitat loss are increasing across the country and Canadian biodiversity is suffering.
We should be encouraging folks to protect nature and wildlife. The last thing we need to do is remind them that wild animals can hurt or kill them.
The Massassauga rattlesnake is mentioned as a threat to Ontarians, when the real story is that the species is threatened by Ontarians!
If you want to write about biodiversity loss, find a better way to introduce it.
