A person has been airlifted to hospital after wrestling himself free from a crocodile that latched on to his arm at a waterfall in distant north-west Queensland.
The RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter flew the person from Garden Hill nationwide park to a Mount Isa hospital the place he stays in a steady situation with puncture wounds to his arm, arms and leg.
The person, aged in his 40s, was on a bike tour of the park and had been swimming within the gorge at Adel’s Grove on Sunday.
He instructed rescue crews he had wrestled with the freshwater crocodile earlier than managing to flee.
An aircrew officer, Greig Allan, mentioned the person was in loads of ache and the chew wounds had been deep.
